चिंटू अपने दादाजी के साथ गांव में रहता था। उसे खेलना बहुत पसंद था, खासकर बाग में। एक दिन, चिंटू बाग में खेल रहा था, तभी उसे एक छोटी चिड़िया घायल मिली। चिड़िया घबराई हुई थी और उड़ नहीं पा रही थी।
“दादाजी! दादाजी! देखो, ये चिड़िया घायल है!” चिंटू ने दादाजी को पुकारा।
दादाजी ने चिड़िया को ध्यान से देखा। “लगता है, इसका पंख टूट गया है। चलो, इसे घर ले चलते हैं।”
चिंटू और दादाजी चिड़िया को घर ले गए। दादाजी ने चिड़िया के पंख पर पट्टी बांधी और उसे एक छोटे से डिब्बे में नरम कपड़े बिछाकर रख दिया। चिंटू ने चिड़िया का नाम ‘छोटी’ रखा।
चिंटू रोज ‘छोटी’ का ध्यान रखता। उसे पानी पिलाता, दाना खिलाता और उससे बातें करता। कुछ दिनों में ‘छोटी’ का पंख ठीक हो गया। एक दिन, ‘छोटी’ उड़ान भरने की कोशिश करने लगी।
“दादाजी, देखो! ‘छोटी’ उड़ रही है!” चिंटू खुशी से चिल्लाया।
दादाजी मुस्कुराए। “हां, चिंटू। अब ‘छोटी’ ठीक हो गई है। इसे बाग में छोड़ देते हैं। ये अपने परिवार के पास वापस चली जाएगी।”
चिंटू थोड़ा उदास हुआ, लेकिन फिर समझ गया कि ‘छोटी’ को आजाद होना चाहिए। उन्होंने ‘छोटी’ को बाग में छोड़ दिया। ‘छोटी’ उड़कर एक पेड़ पर जा बैठी और चहचहाने लगी।
सीख: हमें जानवरों और पक्षियों की मदद करनी चाहिए। वे भी हमारी दुनिया का हिस्सा हैं।
Chintu lived in the village with his grandfather. He loved to play, especially in the garden. One day, when Chintu was playing in the garden, he found a small bird in an injured state. The bird was scared and could not fly.
“Grandpa! Grandpa! Look, this bird is injured!” Chintu called out to Grandpa.
Grandpa looked at the bird carefully. “It looks like its wing is broken. Come, let’s take it home.”
Chintu and Grandpa took the bird home. Grandpa bandaged the bird’s wings and placed it in a small box covered with a soft cloth. Chintu named the bird ‘Chhoti’.
Chintu took care of Chhoti every day. He would give her water, food and talk to her. In a few days, Chhoti’s wings were healed. One day, Chhoti tried to fly.
“Grandpa, look! ‘Chhoti’ is flying!” Chintu shouted happily.
Grandpa smiled. “Yes, Chintu. ‘Chhoti’ is fine now. Let’s leave her in the garden. She will go back to her family.”
Chintu became a little sad, but then he understood that ‘Chhoti’ should be free. He left ‘Chhoti’ in the garden. ‘Chhoti’ flew and sat on a tree and started chirping.
Lesson: We should help animals and birds. They are also a part of our world.
